Originally designed by Norman Cherner in 1958, the Cherner carver and side chairs have since become some of the most iconic designs of the 20th century.  In 1999 Norman Cherner’s sons founded the Cherner Chair Company, re-issuing their father's classic designs using the original drawings and moulds.

This set of six comprises four side chairs and two carver chairs, constructed from moulded plywood with a walnut veneer in a natural finish, the chairs have a curvaceous silhouette. The sculptural seat and backrest are formed from a single piece of ply, while the legs mirror the curves of the chair.

For the carver chairs, another length of plywood curves up and out from the legs and around the back to create exaggerated armrests.

A true mid-century design classic, the Cherner chair will remain timeless, making it perfect for any contemporary living space or dining room.
