Martin Visser for 'T Spectrum Black Leather Osaka Lounge Chairs, 1970s, Set of 2
Originally designed by Martin Visser in 1969, for the Dutch pavilion at the 1970 World Expo held in the Japanese city of Osaka, the SZ-08 lounge chair is also known as the Osaka chair and was manufactured by ‘T Spectrum in the Netherlands in the early 1970s.
Inspired by the simplicity of the lightweight metal forms used in the Bauhaus furniture designs, the Osaka chair features a similar tubular steel frame, with a softly curved silhouette.
The padded seat, backrest and armrest cushions are all upholstered in black leather and feature a button tufted detail.
A fantastic example of mid century Dutch design, this pair of Osaka leather lounge chairs would make the perfect addition to any contemporary living space or office.

Wear consistent with age and use. Overall great vintage condition with slight rust to the metal frame. Lovely leather patina with no marks.
