Marco Zanuso for Zanotta Brown Leather Maggiolina Lounge Chair & Footstool
Only 2 in stock
Description
Originally designed by Marco Zanuso in 1947 for a competition sponsored by the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Maggiolina lounge chair has gone on to become a design icon and has been manufactured by Zanotta since 1972.
A fantastic example of early mid century Italian design, the chair went on to win the gold medal at the Milan Triennale in 1948.
Constructed from a slim polished tubular steel frame, the chair features a black leather sling which holds the back and seat cushions, both upholstered in contrasting brown leather.
The leather armrests are upholstered in brown leather, while the matching footstool has black leather upholstery to compliment the sling back of the chair.
This Maggiolina lounge chair and footstool would add a touch of classic Italian design to any contemporary living space.
