Pierre Paulin for Artifort Yellow Ribbon Armchair, 1970s
Originally designed by Pierre Paulin in 1966 in collaboration with Artifort, the Ribbon armchair is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, making it a true design icon.
The sculptural accent chair is constructed from a wrapped metal frame sitting on lacquered pressed wood base, creating a ribbon-like silhouette.
The frame is covered with horizontal springs and foam for comfort, and is upholstered in stretch fabric in a shade of vibrant yellow.
A fantastic example of the futuristic 1960s design aesthetic, this Ribbon lounge chair would make a bold statement piece for any contemporary living space.
