Alvar Aalto for Artek Birch & Black Linoleum 65 Dining Chairs, Set of 2
Originally designed by Alvar Aalto in 1935, the 65 chair formed part of his iconic L-leg collection.
Aalto created the collection after experimenting with bending wood in the early 1920s, before patenting his technique in 1933.
The 65 chair is constructed from solid birch ply finished with a clear lacquer in order to allow the natural wood to be the focal point.
The legs of the dining chair feature the iconic L-shape bends, while the round seat has a black linoleum finish. The rectangular backrest is also constructed from form pressed birch plywood and curves for a comfortable support.
True design icons, this pair of 65 chairs will remain classics and would make the perfect addition to any contemporary kitchen or dining space.
