Originally designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1952 for the Magasin du Nord store in Copenhagen, this CH72 sofa and CH71 armchair set is manufactured by Carl Hansen & Son and is a fantastic example of mid-century Scandinavian design.
Combining both upholstery and natural wood, the CH72 two seater sofa has a compact shape with a subtly curved silhouette, making it ideal for smaller spaces. The CH71 armchair has a subtly curved silhouette, with a high back for extra support.
Constructed from an oak frame with round tapered legs and matching corner details on the integrated armrests, the set is upholstered in Biscuit Beige fabric.
Sculptural yet elegant, this set is truly timeless and would add a touch of mid-century chic to any contemporary living space.
