Hans J. Wegner for Johannes Hansen Peacock Chair, 1960s

£2,520 £3,600
Originally designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1947, the Peacock chair was manufactured by Johannes Hansen until the 1970s.

Inspired by the traditional Windsor chair, Finn Juhl gave the design its Peacock name due to the spindles of the backrest which flare out into a high curve, mirroring the tail of the bird.

Constructed from high quality wood, the chair has angled armrests and a paper cord seat.

A true piece of design history, this Peacock chair is a classic design that stands the test of time and would make a fantastic addition to any contemporary living space.
