Julian Chichester founded his furniture design company in 1995, inspired by the classic shapes from the 19th and 20th centuries and adding his own unique twist through contemporary finishes and details.

The Cortes desk is inspired by 1950s Danish design and features a large table top wrapped in variegated black vellum which has been sealed for residential use.

The desktop sits on an angular steel frame with a distressed powder coated gilt finish, and features four drawers lined in sycamore wood, each with a gilded hoop drawer pull.

A beautifully crafted piece, this Cortes desk offers both storage and a stylish place to display pieces or work from, making it a fantastic addition to any contemporary living space.
