One of the most renowned French designers of the 1950s, Mathieu Matégot was famous for his work with metal, and his garden furniture remains highly collectible.
Comprising a round table and four chairs, this garden set is constructed from tubular steel with a white lacquered finish. The table features a perforated metal table top sitting on four curved hair pin legs.
All four of the chairs have matching heart shaped backrests, while two have armrests which curve around the sides.
The whimsical aesthetic of this set of table and chairs will add a touch of charm to any contemporary garden space and will continue to remain an iconic example of mid century furniture design.
