Arne Jacobsen was commissioned to design St. Catherine's College in Oxford in 1963, which included the furniture and surrounding landscape. Seen as one of his most outstanding projects, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from Oxford for his work.

One of the most iconic designs to come from the project was the professor's chair, which is now known as the Oxford chair, designed with a high back that symbolised prestige.

This 3273 model of the chair was made in 2008 and features the higher backed design, upholstered in black leather.

With a five star satin aluminium swivel base, the chair is fixed height and features matching aluminium arm rests.

A fantastic piece of design history, this Oxford chair would add a touch of mid century style to any home office or desk space.
