Eileen Gray Red Leather Non Conformist Armchair, 2006
Originally designed by Eileen Gray in 1926 and manufactured in 2006, the Non Conformist chair is a fantastic example of her pioneering modernist design.
The asymmetric frame is constructed from chrome-plated tubular steel, with a mix of angular lines and soft curves.
Upholstered in red leather, the seat cushion features a quilting detailing which further enhances the curves of the silhouette, while a separate red leather back cushion sits directly on the frame.
One arm is left bare to reveal the chrome frame, while the other features a padded armrest that bends from the backrest to the seat to create an arc.
A design icon, this chair lives up to its name and will make a fantastic addition to any contemporary living space.
