This black chaise lounge was created in 2008 by French architect, inventor and designer Jean-Marie Massaud. The flowing lines of the seat contrasts strikingly with the linear, structural metal base, as do the glossy and matt finishes. With its dual function of armchair and chaise lounge, the piece balances comfort and functionality without sacrificing elegance. Every contour of the seat is designed to suitably hold and embrace the body, whilst the stitching on the leather forms a cross in the seat's centre, adding definition to the chaise lounge's shape.
