Mid Century Hvidt & Mølgaard-Nielsen for Fritz Hansen AX 6060 Leather Armchair

Originally designed in 1947 by the Danish architects Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen, the AX 6060 chair was manufactured by Fritz Hansen.

A fantastic example of mid century Danish design, the AX armchair is constructed from a frame of pressed beech wood laminated, allowing for a combination of sleek lines and seamless curves with integrated armrests.

A single panel of brown leather with square quilted detailing forms the seat and backrest, with a cut-away at the back. The reverse of the leather is contrasted quilted fabric, offering a comfortable seat.

This AX 6060 armchair is the perfect way to add a touch of the Danish design aesthetic to any contemporary living space.

Good- These chairs are in great condition – the wood and leather remains in the most sought-after unrestored condition. The grain is full of character and patina. There is some light wear and fading as pictured as well as a small rip on the bottom of one of the chairs.
