Tom Dixon Black Beat Floor Lamp
Designed by Tom Dixon, one of the best known British designers of the 21st century, the Beat lighting collection combines quality materials with a sleek aesthetic.
The floor lamp is handmade in Moradabad in Northern India, using the traditional technique of spinning and hand-beating the brass, which is what gives the piece its name.
Sitting on a circular cast iron base, the lamp has a black powder coated stem with an articulated arm to allow light to be directed.
The cone-shaped shade can be rotated 180 degrees and has the black powder coated finish on the outside with the hammered brass interior, creating a reflective effect and softening the light inside.
The floor lamp has a black flex with a European plug and a foot switch. A beautifully crafted and practical piece, this Beat floor lamp would make the perfect addition to any contemporary living space.
