What brands and/or designers do you look for?
You can find a list of the types of designers and brands we typically look for here. If your item isn’t on here please still send it to our team, as we are constantly expanding our list.
How do you authenticate?
Our expert quality control team verifies each piece’s provenance, attribution, construction, and condition. Using historical references and attribution marks, we authenticate every item—working with auction houses and manufacturers to corroborate seller-provided information.
Does it matter if my item is slightly damaged?
We prioritize quality but accept pieces with minor wear, repairing them for free. For major repairs, restoration, or upholstery, we’ll still consider restoring then selling—just send us photos and details of the condition.
My item needs restoration or upholstery in order for it to be in a sellable condition, is this something you can organise for me?
Yes, in most cases, we handle restoration and upholstery, providing a written cost estimate upfront.
Pricing
How do you price items?
Pricing depends on style, brand, condition, and market demand. The more details you provide—like original pricing or receipts—the better. With extensive experience in valuing pre-owned furniture, we ensure fair pricing for both consignors and buyers. Final pricing is at our discretion.
What if I don't agree with your valuation?
Depending on the price you are looking to achieve, we will consider listing items above our estimate for a set period of time. Just talk to our team about your requirements.
How much will I earn if you sell one of my pieces?
Earn 50% - 85% of the net sale proceeds as cash payment (dependent on value), or opt for 115% of the cash payment as store credit to reinvest in new pieces. Choose your payment method once your item sells. With our expertise, we’re confident we’ll secure the best price—ensuring you earn more than selling yourself or at auction

How long does it usually take to sell?
Once listed, most pieces sell within 90 days. However, selling time can vary based on:
- Market demand – Some styles and brands move faster than others
- Condition – Well-maintained pieces sell more quickly
- Pricing – Overpricing can extend the selling period
- Brand – Highly sought-after brands tend to sell faster
We use our expertise to price competitively and market effectively to ensure the best chance of a quick sale."
How long will you keep my piece(s)?
Our standard selling period is 180 days from the day your piece is listed.
When will I get paid?
Once your item sells and is delivered, the buyer has a 30-day return period. Consignment payments are processed at the end of the month following this period.
Example: If your item is delivered on 20th September, your payment will be sent at the end of October (the end of the calendar month after the return window closes).
We ensure a secure and transparent payment process for all sellers.
What happens if my item hasn’t sold in 90 days?
- After 90 days, we may reduce the price by up to 30% to increase the chances of selling.
- After 180 days, we will review the listing and offer you the option to put your piece in our online auction, or to collect it/ have it returned to you.
There are no fees, except for the cost of returning the piece to you.
Exchange
When can I exchange my piece?
After you’ve owned your piece for 9 months, you’re eligible for exchange (we plan to remove this requirement in due course).
How much credit will I get?
If your piece is still in its original condition, you’ll receive 100% of your original purchase price in store credit.
If refurbishment is required, we’ll deduct the cost of that work from your credit.
Do I have to pay for collection?
- If you’re only exchanging (without buying a new piece), a collection fee applies.
- If you’re buying a new piece at the same time, we’ll deliver your new purchase and collect the old one in a single visit — no collection fee.
How do I use my credit?
- If you’re buying something new at the same time, your credit will be applied as a partial refund against that order.
- Otherwise, you’ll receive store credit to use on any future REHAUS purchase.
What if my piece is damaged?
We can still accept it, but the cost of repair or refurbishment will be deducted from your credit.
What if I’m not in UK
Sorry, Forever Exchange is currently only available to REHAUS customers in UK (excluding Northern Ireland and other non-mainland areas).

Where will my item go and will you store it for me?
All items will be taken to the Rehaus warehouse where they will be stored, safely, until they are sold.
Are my items insured?
Yes. From the moment your items leave your house they are insured, until they arrive with the person who has bought them.
How long will it take you to list my item on your website?
This process can take up to 30 days, depending on when we collect the item from you, and how much restoration or cleaning it requires.
If I change my mind, can I have my item back?
As long as your item hasn’t sold yet then yes, you can have your item back. But if you want your unsold item back after the end of the 14-day cooling off period but before the 180-day consignment period is over, there will be an administrative fee of 25% plus VAT of what our estimated profit would have been on the item (based on a sale being made at the selling price on the date of cancellation as listed onwww.rehaus.co.uk). You will need to pay this prior to organising its collection. Please speak to our team who might be able to help you coordinate delivery. See our terms for more details on cancellation, in particular how the profit is calculated.
